ABOUT THE ROLE
LION is launching a new eCommerce business brokerage – and we’re looking for a commercially driven eCommerce Business Broker to join us as a Founder & Equity Partner.
This is a rare opportunity to do what you do best: act as the connector and dealmaker between eCommerce founders looking to exit and the investors and strategic buyers ready to acquire them. You’ll own relationship building, valuation conversations, and buyer outreach through to deal closure, while LION provides the strategy, analytics, and operational support behind you.
You’ll be at the forefront of a growing network of eCommerce founders, aggregators, and investment groups, building long-term partnerships that fuel consistent deal flow. In return, you’ll have an equity stake in the business and the freedom to shape its strategy and direction.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain a network of eCommerce founders, aggregators, and investment groups.
- Evaluate and prepare eCommerce businesses for sale, including valuation, with support from LION’s strategy and analytics team.
- Market and list businesses for sale, creating buyer-facing materials that maximise exposure while maintaining seller confidentiality.
- Screen and qualify prospective buyers before progressing conversations or sharing sensitive information.
- Lead outreach and negotiations with qualified buyers.
- Collaborate with legal and financial experts to facilitate smooth due diligence and deal closures.
- Develop deal flow pipelines and maintain CRM records.
- Contribute to marketing content and sales strategy for the brokerage.
What You Bring
- An AI first approach
- Proven experience in eCommerce, either as a founder, operator, or consultant
- Deep understanding of Shopify, Amazon FBA, or DTC brand ecosystems
- Comfortable reading financial statements and applying business valuation methods
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and commercial instinct
- Experience in business brokering or sell-side M&A is a huge plus
- Comfortable with a commission-driven structure
- Entrepreneurial drive and ability to work autonomously while building a new venture
